This has been an unprecedented time around the world. At Thrive we need the support of our community more than ever. Here are the ways that you can help – monetary donation, #GratitudeChain letter writing , “Sponsor a Meal,” donate supplies, donate hand-sewn face masks.
Like many organizations Thrive has incurred many additional expenses to ensure that our staff and participants stay healthy and engaged. Our residential program in particular has seen their expenses increase significantly due to the need for increased staffing, additional food expenses, costs for engagement activities, etc. Monetary donations of any amount would offset those costs.
#GratitudeChain (Letter Writing Campaign)
Thrive’s direct-care staff is at the front-lines of this pandemic. To show our appreciation for all that they are doing we have started a #GratitudeChain letter writing campaign. It’s simple write a letter, draw a picture and send an email to thank these selfless workers for their dedication to our participants and organization. Written letters of photos can be sent to Thrive Support & Advocacy, 65 Boston Post Road West, Suite 220, Marlborough, MA 01752 or click here to email a letter. Thrive has four community residences, so writing one letter, or four, or more would certainly lift the spirits of these heroes.
Sponsor a Meal
To “Sponsor a Meal” choose the restaurant of your choice and purchase either lunch or dinner for one, two or all four of our residences. These meals not only support local restaurants but also create joy for our staff and residents in this difficult time. Thrive has four community homes with more than 40 residents throughout the homes. To learn more and schedule a time email firstname.lastname@example.org/ and a staff member will reach out.
Thrive is in need of the following supplies: disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray (Lysol spray), hand sanitizer, disposable face masks, all-purpose cleaning spray (that kills viruses), and disposable gloves. Please drop supplies in the drop box outside our headquarters at 65 Boston Post Road West, Suite 220, Marlborough, MA 01752.
Home-sewn Face Masks
To protect our participants and staff we are using home-made face masks in all residences and when supporting individuals in the community. At the start of this crisis we had many volunteers donating masks. We are still in need of masks. Please drop masks in the drop box outside our headquarters at 65 Boston Post Road West, Suite 220, Marlborough, MA 01752.
