Thrive’s Virtual Social Groups include: TASC Meetup, Mystery Mondays Challenge, Thrive Ladies Group 16+ and Thrive ASD Men’s Group 16+. These groups meet virtually and occasionally there are in-person socially distanced meetings. The groups offer a social outlet and a way to stay connected during this challenging time.
Mystery Monday Challenge: Join Thrive’s weekly challenge involving imagination, skill, and determination. This group does NOT actually meet face-to-face but every Friday you are given a challenge card with instructions about the challenge and a supply list. Perform the challenge by Monday and post photos of your results to the Mystery Monday Facebook group for all embers to see. Be sure to tag Thrive Support & Advocacy and use the hashtag #ChallengeAccepted. Upcoming challenges include: bubbles, fairy gardens, grow something and more! TASC Hangout: Come hang out with friends and Thrive staff every Tuesday. Ages 16-25 will meet from 3:00-3:30 and ages 10-15 will hangout from 3:30-4:00. Thrive Ladies Group 16+: Run by your favorite group leaders Caroline and Tia the group meets from 5:00 – 6:30 PM on Thursdays through Zoom Meetings. To register email email@example.com. The group will be interactive and include: socializing and sharing experiences; recipe sharing; makeovers; brainstorming creative ways to keep active and engaged.
Thrive Men’s ASD Group 16+: Run by your favorite group leaders David and Coleman the group meets from 5:00-6:30 on Fridays through Zoom meetings. To register email firstname.lastname@example.org. The group is discussion based and interactive and includes: group discussions sharing ideas; and experiences with all that’s happening; drawing contests or other art related activities; skits about pertinent topics; impromptu concerts and other musical activities; brainstorming creative ways to spend your time.
